Before hanging up his spikes for good following the 1983 season, Carl Yastrzemski, who spent his entire 23-year career in Boston, was feted at Fenway over two days. First up was “Yaz Day,” on the penultimate game of his final homestand. In his last game, Yaz called it a career after notching his 3,419th, and final, hit off Cleveland Indians pitcher Bud Anderson.
