Jimmie Johnson stands on the grid during a qualifying race on April 21, 2012 in Kansas City, Kansas.
He’s known for his impeccable control while zooming around the NASCAR track, but in 2006, racer Jimmie Johnson couldn’t manage the same control of a golf cart. It probably didn’t help that he was riding on top of the cart. During a celebrity golf tournament in Florida, he admitted he was “horsing around” when the cart’s driver hit a bump and sent Johnson flying off the roof, leaving his wrist broken upon landing. He hurt his non-shifting hand but was kept out of racing for four weeks.
