It’s quite possible that all you know of GoDaddy.com is that the company runs racy advertisements during the Superbowl and that it does something website-related. In an effort to gain even more notoriety (and latch onto college football’s passionate fan base) the web hosting and domain name giant announced October 18 that it would host a college football bowl game. The winners of the Mid-American Conference and the Sun Belt will face off in Mobile, Alabama on January 6 in what was formerly the GMAC Bowl. When the new sponsorship was announced, the company’s press release quoted CEO and Founder, Bob Parsons asking, “The GoDaddy.com Bowl has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?” No, Bob, we don’t. To be honest, we’re not even sure why your company is named “Go Daddy” in the first place.
