If baskets were scored for degree of difficulty, Jermaine Wallace would have had a dozen points for his shot that shocked Big Ten champion Iowa. After charging back from a 17-point deficit with 8-1/2 minutes left, Northwestern State, from Natchitoches, La., had the ball down two with 14 seconds left. Wallace, pinned in the left corner with nowhere to go, forced a fade-away three pointer, and fell on his back. Swish. Up one with half a second left, the delirious Demons forgot to play defense and Iowa got one more look at the buzzer. The Hawkeyes missed the shot, making it safe for Northwestern State to celebrate.
