Peyton Manning set a new NFL record for yards passed in a season on Sunday as his Denver Broncos beat the Oakland Raiders 34–14. The Broncos are now the highest-scoring team in league history.
Manning threw for 266 yards and four touchdowns in the first half, which took him past Drew Brees’ 2011 record of 5,476 yards for New Orleans. The 37-year-old had already broken Tom Brady’s single-season touchdown pass record when he threw his 51st last week.
Manning finished the season with 5,477 yards and 55 touchdown passes.
