Those nosebleed seats may be cheap, but they’re not supposed to be free.
After the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers played their last regular-season game at Candlestick Park Monday night, some rabid fans tried to take parts of the stadium home with them as souvenirs.
Police reported that fans tried to take home section placards and even stadium seats, the LA Times reports.
More than 70,000 people showed up to watch the 49ers guarantee their spot in the playoffs by beating the Atlanta Falcons 34-24. The 49ers are set to move to their new home, Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium, in time for the 2014 NFL season.
