The U.S. Olympic women’s hockey team lost to its rival Canada in overtime on Thursday, giving Canada gold-medal bragging rights.
Marie-Philip Poulin scored the winning goal to give Canada a 3-2 victory after the teams tied 2-2 during regulation. It’s the fourth consecutive Olympic title for Canada in the sport. The United States had been leading most of the game, until Brianne Jenner and Poulin scored two goals for Canada in the last four minutes of regulation play.
Switzerland beat out Sweden for the bronze medal in women’s hockey earlier in the day.
