Tim Tebow has finally found a job in football, reports USA Today — as a college-football analyst for ESPN.

The sports network announced on Monday it had signed a “multiyear agreement” with the former University of Florida quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner to be an analyst for SEC Nation, ESPN’s new college-football network. Tebow will suit up for ESPN for the first time on Jan. 6, when he’ll contribute to the network’s coverage of the BCS National Championship Game between Florida State and Auburn.

Although Tebow was a star quarterback in the Southeastern Conference, he struggled to make a mark in the NFL. He was released by the New England Patriots before the start of the 2013 season, after spending a season on the bench for the New York Jets in 2012.

Tebow said the ESPN gig would not necessarily mean the end of his football career. “While I continue to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL, this is an amazing opportunity to be part of the unparalleled passion of college football and the SEC,” he said.
