Nicknamed "The Big Sombrero" for its resemblance to the Mexican hat, Tampa Stadium opened in 1967 and was the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1976 to 1997. The stadium was demolished after the construction of the Raymond James Stadium and was subsequently converted into a parking lot.
