Soccer doesn’t have the best record when it comes to headbutting. Remember France midfielder Zinedine Zidane’s epic World Cup headbutt of Italy’s Marco Materazzi in 2006?

Well, apparently coaches aren’t immune to the headbutting fever. On Saturday, Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew managed to get himself kicked off the field for aiming his forehead at Hull City’s David Meyler, Deadspin reported.

Pardew was dismissed from the field, and apologized to fans after his team’s 2-0 victory. “Perhaps it will teach me to sit down,” he said afterwards. Newcastle United’s owner was reportedly considering whether or not to sack Pardew for his spectacular onfield antics.
