Bloodshed and brawling broke out in the parking lot of Denver’s Sports Authority Field with four people stabbed following the Broncos loss to the San Diego Chargers on Thursday night.
According to the Denver Post, police have taken several people into custody for question regarding the incident. One person was reportedly in critical condition and was being treated along with the other injured parties at local hospitals.
Steve Warneke, a Denver police spokesman said reports of the violence came in around 9:55 when cops broke up a large fight in the lot, just west of the stadium. It is unclear whether or not the fight was related to the game, or how it started, the Post reported.
“This was a very chaotic scene,” said Warneke. “There’s lots of witnesses, we’re gonna be interviewing witnesses throughout the night to determine what precipitated this event. We’re not sure what led up to this .”
