Kansas City, Mo. police work a crime scene in parking lot A outside Arrowhead Stadium, in Kansas City, Mo., after a person was killed Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.

Three people were taken into custody for questioning after an ill-defined spat turned deadly outside of the Kansas City Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs played the Broncos on Sunday.

According to a report by the Associated Press, the skirmish broke out when an individual returning to his vehicle “saw someone inside the vehicle that did not belong.” An altercation then ensued and the man who was inside the car reportedly collapsed and died.

“Right now it’s a suspicious death but we are going to investigate it as a homicide,” Kansas City police spokesman Darin Snapp told the AP. Officials offered over few details about the incident and admitted there were no obvious signs that pointed to the cause of death.
