An off-road motorcycle race took a tragic turn when a 30-year-old star died Friday in Baja California, Mexico.

Kurt Caselli was transported to a local hospital after sustaining head injuries from a motorcycle crash during the SCORE Tecate Baja 100. He died overnight, Dirt Bike magazine reports.

It is unclear what exactly caused the crash, but the race was riddled with obstacles or booby traps, which locals add to the course as part of the entertainment.

Caselli was a three-time Hare & Hounds champion and winner of the Desafio Ruta 40 Rally in Argentina

Totally untrue. This is the first article on earth that tries to float the notion the "race was riddled with obstacles or booby traps". So please retract immediately. There is no substance or validity to that wide-ranging claim. Its my job to know these fact before they reach your wire.

In the name of accuracy. please
