Hope they can enjoy it while they can.  When they go before God, they will have some explaining to do.....

Gay marriage is illegal in Hawaii by a constitution amendment.  Why would they marry in a state that forbids it?  Not legal there means that it cannot be excepted anywhere in the country.  Lots of questions here.  Anyone have any answers?  I can make up at least one.

After reading some of these comments, I don't know who is more intolerant, ignorant, and hateful - the anti-gay marriage or pro-gay marriage people?

Some comments on here leave me feeling that ignorance rules this country rather than freedom.  People so rarely put themselves in other people's shoes and try to imagine what it must feel like before saying some of the most hurtful things... and I wonder, if it was your sister, or your cousin, or your best friend, would marrying someone of the same sex that they love change your opinion of him or her?  Would you be happy that this person is happy, or just suddenly ridicule and hurt them because they don't feel the same way you do about same sex marriage?  Last I knew, who we love is a deep personal choice, and I didn't think it mattered who that other person is, as long as it's love.

Ernesto...yikes...what a sophisticated response (insert sarcastic quizzical look here)...  Given the quality of your response, I am left to understand that your parents have left you unsupervised...come back when you're at least 18...

I've never seen a bull marrying another bull or a cow to another cow.......If human race is intelligent as we boast how are becoming total immoral and so dumb to become like this. All in the name of freedom. Even animals know better the cycle of life and behave better than this disgusting and perverted generation. Wake up people

This whole thing about same-sex marriage will kill us! It became normal in the name of freedom.

Not to rain on anybody's wedding day, but it's not exactly the smartest thing to work with your spouse, gay or straight.  Good luck to both of them, though.

I read the article and I read the comments of people "who couldn't care less about gay marriage" yet find this article deeply disturbing. Let me clear something out:

This article is not about GAY marriage. It's about a celebrity getting married. Period.

She would have had an article regardless of marrying a man or a woman. Get the picture now? Yeah... you're welcome.

@mrbomb13

like how they managed to live in a world of homophobic tw@ts like yourself without committing murder? i'm always curious about the patience and willingness to put up with that as well

@Scotty_Leon Good point. Everyone has a god given right to be happy no matter how it affects other people.

@Scotty_Leon go for it, the very least you could cash in on a Springer show or your own reality show...

@ernestomaretto you seem pretty convinced in your feelings on this subject. That's your right, especially as it relates to you and your family. I do think though that everyone else is intitaled to their view as well. After all, this is an issue of LOVE, not HATE. It's ok to disagree, but please stop spreading HATE.

@ernestomaretto you seem pretty convinced in your feeligs on this subject. And that's your right as it concerns you and your family. I think you should grant others the same freedom of choice though. This is an issue of LOVE, and shouldn't be an issue of HATE.

@ernestomaretto He must not have any pets either.  My dog has had some sexual interactions with other male dogs at the park.  Nothing I can control unless I physical intervene and I don't care too. But I have a question....If you think its disgusting and perverted, why did you read the article?  It didn't make you happy to read it and its not like you didn't know what you were reading before starting it.  I think you secretly enjoyed reading about women getting married.

well I am falling in love with  a chimpanzee next week I am going to get married to a chimp because we love each other. Or  even better since I am free to whatever I please let me get married to my car cause I love the way smells.

@ernestomaretto Well Ernesto...last I checked animals don't have formal weddings.  Furthermore, if you've spent any time on a farm, you would be aware of same-sex interaction...c'mon man...really?  Candidly, you are the one who needs to wake up, look at the science and consider the human factor, which is, that people of the same sex can fall in love and find happiness in relationship...  Wow...Ernesto...you have a few things to learn...

@Kitesandstuff @ubhystry Oh pish-posh. That's just red-neck speak for being in a committed lesbian relationship. The important thing to remember here is that he/she is supportive and not bigoted against it.

@ernestomaretto ……you are one stupid man!    Please give me at least ONE OCCASION, ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE THIS HAPPENED….OR….THIS THIS HAPPENING DURING YOUR MASTURBATION OR DREAMS….YOU REALLY ARE STUPID AND IGNORANT

Kitesandstuff

@ernestomaretto  - You really come across as the someone who lives in a small town in the corner of nowhere with a 2nd grade education.  Do you actually leave your house?  Or do you just sit at your computer looking for kiddy porn?  My guess is the latter.

@ernestomaretto The difference between inter-species relationships (or relationships with inanimate objects) and same sex relationships is that humans can consent, where as animals and objects can not.

brennaballow
brennaballow

@ernestomaretto How does two consenting adults living together in a loving relationship affect you? no one is telling you how to live your life, so why deny others happiness if it has no affect on your life?

SnafuBob

@docdadd @ernestomaretto Ernesto Maretto, the name alone implies being Catholic...that should speak volumes on how he feels. I agree with brennaballow and you docdadd. I'm straight, and hold a credo of to each their own.

lbofham1

@bgsmasta @Evilroyslade A cat isn't a person... people who are anti-gay marriage raise the rhetorical question, "why can't I marry a [insert animal or object]?"... BECAUSE THEY CAN'T CONSENT.  You probably would have opposed interracial marriage if you were old enough.  You're on the wrong side of history.

ChelsieRice

@Scotty_Leon @SnafuBob people write comments like this but really sex is sex it's not love.  for that matter how many straight couples have anal sex.  a lot... there love must not mean as much.  For that matter certain sex position must make their love less.... Sex doesn't mean love or how a relationship should be judged.   If a straight couple has "doggie style" sex does that mean they are less in love or that it means less than the missionary kind.   dumb

SnafuBob
SnafuBob

@Scotty_Leon @SnafuBob sex is sex, love is something felt literally in another way, that's just my opinion though...I'm not gay, nor would I ever be so, but I'm not going to condone or judge someone who is. I've known plenty of people that I would have never thought or known was homosexual until revealing it; and I still know them for who I perceived them to be prior knowing the sexual orientation; good hearten, plain and simple.

violinsoldier

@SnafuBob @docdadd @ernestomaretto To each their own should also apply to someone's religion, should it not?  You are speculating about his religion (stereotyping), then judging (hating).  Does that make you better or worse than him?

bgsmasta

@lbofham1 @bgsmasta @Evilroyslade

1 meow for yes, 2 meows for no. I got the consent!

Wrong side of history? That has a nice ring to it, but who are YOU to decide how our childrens children will look upon this?
