A woman who had come to see her boyfriend drive in a NASCAR contest Sunday let off steam by slapping another driver in the face for bumping her beau during the race.
Kelly Heaphy, the girlfriend of driver Mike Skeen, approached Skeen’s opponent “Mad” Max Papis and let loose the open-handed hit:
The famously short-tempered Papis had bumped his truck into Skeen’s on the last lap of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chevy Silverado 250. The bump caused the two to “spin out,” according to Sporting News.
Papis later needled Skeen on Twitter over the incident:
That deal was only between me and #6 driver we could have solved it alone …but I guess he needed some …help !!!!
