World Number 1 golfer — and still public enemy No. 1 in the eyes of some — Tiger Woods is part of the U.S. quest to retain the Ryder Cup. He missed the 2008 event due to injury and wasn’t missed in the slightest as the U.S. romped to victory by their biggest margin in over 25 years. Indeed, despite his 14 Majors, Woods has a patchy record in the tournament. Captain Pavin will be hoping that changes, especially as Woods is one of his wildcard picks, and he’s paired him with his good friend, Steve Stricker, for Friday morning’s fourballs. They take on Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher.
