Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris added ominously (if helpfully), “Whatever happens in our squad stays in our squad.” Rumor has it that Gallas is angry that France have made Patrice Evra the captain, overlooking his seniority. But Gallas is a bit of a nutter, and Arsenal actually took the captaincy away from him. Presumably, France recognized that the strain of refraining from laughter would be too much for the players in response to team talks like these:
